This is a compilation of completed biographical sketches for the NYG&B's New Netherland Settlers project to develop detailed, peer-reviewed sketches of all the people residing in New Netherland prior to 1664. Sketches will be added on a continuous basis as they are completed.
This table provides a basic overview for every completed sketch to date of a known resident of New Netherland. The header of each column can be clicked for alphanumeric sorting. Click a row to opens its full sketch. In fall 2025 we will publish an online list of known residents of New Netherlands who will be included in this project for research and eventual publication of a sketch.
