Sponsoring NYG&B Conference and Seminar Participation

The NYG&B is awarding scholarships for people to attend select NYG&B conferences and seminars who would otherwise be unable to participate.

Family history is a fascinating and personal way for everyone to better understand who they are and how our past has shaped us. While genealogy can take time, patience, and perseverance, it should not require significant financial resources for people to trace their ancestors. Whether someone is a budding genealogist or a well-seasoned researcher, the NYG&B believes in removing barriers to pursuing one’s past.

Through this conference scholarship program, the NYG&B will waive the registration fee for accepted applicants to attend and participate in the NYG&B’s New York State Family History Conference and other special seminars and symposiums for navigating family history. We welcome applicants who will use this opportunity to inform and shape their research, build a network of community, and find further inspiration for their family history journey.

The NYG&B is currently accepting applications for and will waive the registration fee for accepted applicants to attend the following:

Future select conferences and seminars will be added here on a rolling basis.
