Please join Kalyn Loewer, NYG&B's Digital Collections Manager for a first look at the NYG&B’s newly released online collection, Sons of the Revolution in the State of New York, which contains membership applications and historical records of the Sons of the Revolution in the State of New York, Inc. (SRNY).

This groundbreaking collection makes freely available for the first time thousands of digitized records that will ultimately make more than 10,000 membership applications and organizational records—dating from 1883 to the present—searchable by full-text transcription and by index.

On this free online webinar, Kalyn will walk through how to search this important resource, which was undertaken as a partnership between the NYG&B, SRNY, and Fraunces Tavern Museum as part of the NYG&B’s Digitize New York initiative.

The Sons of the Revolution in the State of New York, Inc. is a nonprofit society comprising descendants of those who served in the American Revolutionary War. Since 1883, the organization has worked to preserve the memory, history, and principles of the American Revolution. It is known for its stewardship of Fraunces Tavern, a historic landmark located in the downtown Financial District of Lower Manhattan.
