NYG&B Office, 36 W. 44th Street, Suite 711, New York, NY 10036
Presented By Joshua Taylor, NYG&B President and CEO, and Susan R. Miller, NYG&B Director, Publications

The NYG&B recently launched some new resources that will significantly improve people’s ability to trace New York ancestors and undertake family history research. Join D. Joshua Taylor, NYG&B President and CEO, and Susan R. Miller, NYG&B Director, Publications, for a look at these resources and how to use and make the most of them:

  • New Netherland Settlers Sketches: The initial 50 sketches are now online in an interactive, interlinked format. They are part of the NYG&B's New Netherland Settlers initiative to develop detailed, peer-reviewed sketches of all the people residing in New Netherland prior to 1664.
  • New York Land Record Index: This is a free-to-use, enhanced index for FamilySearch’s New York, Land Records, 1630-1975, capturing over 32 million land transactions. The collection includes a range of property documents: deeds, mortgages, patents, and land grants.
  • New York Researcher Index (Coming Soon): Researchers will soon be able to browse, search and filter through Researcher articles by tag, author, and issue.

This free event is part of NYG&B Week, but registration is required. See a full list of NYG&B Week programming.
