This collection consists of a microfilmed typed manuscript abstracting death and marriage notices published in the Albany Argus between 1818 and 1825. Compiled by Ralph David Phillips, the manuscript preserves early nineteenth-century newspaper notices relating primarily to Albany and surrounding communities. Entries may include names of deceased persons or marriage parties, dates of events, residences, family relationships, occupations, and other identifying details when reported.
