The Columbia, a quarterly created and edited by Arthur C.M. Kelly, founder of Kinship Books, includes rare and essential record extracts and transcriptions from Columbia County and nearby areas. Individual issues cover a wide range of materials documenting families who lived in (and around) Columbia County in the 1700s and 1800s.

These materials often represent previously unpublished records from private individuals, churches, and other record holders. Materials include cemetery records, church records, bible records, church membership lists, tax and assessment lists, state and federal censuses, family papers, guardianship papers, military records, minute books and many more.
