Conference Events

Enjoy social events and entertainment at the 2022 New York State Family History Conference! There’s much more to enjoy at this year’s conference than the 50+ educational sessions and presentations. Join us for receptions, lunches, New York trivia, and the return of New York Stories Night. Plus connect with other researchers at NYSFHC.

New York Stories Night

New York stories are our favorite way to bring our family history and ancestors to life. On Friday, September 9, join us in-person or via livestream for New York Stories Night. Listen to enlightening and fascinating stories from across the state, told by members of the NYG&B community on video.

Everyone is invited to join us at the opening reception on Thursday evening, where you will network with other attendees, speakers, and NYG&B staff. A closing reception on Saturday afternoon finishes the conference so everyone can enjoy a quick snack before hitting the road. All attendees are encouraged to take part and mingle with other attendees, speakers, and staff members.

Coffee will be provided on Thursday morning during registration, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Ancestry ProGenealogists. The NYG&B will provide coffee during a mid-morning break on Friday and Saturday.

Entertainment and networking will take place during lunch each day, so please be sure to join us! Orders for box lunches are now closed.

New York Trivia

Show off your knowledge of New York with NYSFHC trivia competitions! Test your skills against other New York researchers and experts and see if you know the answers to our questions about New York history. Winners will be eligible for an array of prizes, including NYG&B memberships and publications.
