Explore Your Family's Hudson Valley Past with the NYG&B

From its bucolic farms and orchards to its seat as a hotbed of Revolutionary War hostilities, the Hudson Valley is steeped in both beauty and history. Settled by Dutch, English, French Huguenot, and German Palatine families, and later shaped by the great manors and the fight for independence, the region left behind a rich and sometimes scattered paper trail for today's family historians.

Join the NYG&B and guest experts for an interactive online exploration of resources for tracing ancestors in the Hudson Valley from the 1700s to the 1800s. Through live discussion, guided consultation, and group Q&A with our guest experts, you'll get hands-on help applying these resources to your own research. New York counties covered during these sessions include Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Ulster, and Westchester.

Registration to this Empire State Exploration includes free access to our New York State Research Fundamentals Family History School Course.
