Empire State Exploration: The Hudson Valley

Tuesday, September 12 - Thursday, September 14
Online
Sponsored by the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society

From its bucolic farms and orchards to its seat as a hotbed of Revolutionary War hostilities, the Hudson Valley is steeped in both beauty and history.

Join the NYG&B and a guest expert for an online exploration of resources for tracing ancestors in the Hudson Valley from the 1700s to the 1800s. New York counties covered during these sessions include Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Ulster, and Westchester.

Online sessions include:

  • Lectures on a range of topics, including how to find tenant farmer ancestors
  • Individual consultation sessions with guest expert genealogists
  • Group Q&A periods

Please Note: To accommodate demand, the NYG&B is hosting a second iteration of the Empire State Exploration: The Hudson Valley program that was previously held in March 2023. The sessions and lectures for this program will closely resemble the March program.
