Those who descend from Arab-identified countries can find clues to their family history in traditional genealogical sources.

This presentation will introduce tips and tricks to conducting Arab American genealogical research. Beyond traditional resources, unique record groups specific to the Arab American experience will be addressed.

About the presenter

Reem Awad-Rashmawi is an immigration attorney, genealogist, and community historian. After researching her own family for over 3 decades, she now researches professionally and lectures at societies and conferences nationwide.

Reem is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, National Genealogy Society, Oral History Association, and several regional, state and local genealogy organizations.
