New York State Archives and New York State Archives Partnership Trust

Founded in 1992, The Archives Partnership Trust was established to provide project support to enhance humanities programs and increase access to historical record treasures in the State Archives. Since its founding, the Trust, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has created and supported education programs such as ConsidertheSourceNY.org, Larry J. Hackman Research Residency Program, and the State Archives Student Research Awards; countless preservation projects to help stabilize and rehabilitate some of the more fragile records that are beyond the state’s ability to fund; and outreach programs such as New York Archives Magazine and Online Speaker Series, Empire State Archives & History Award,  history conferences, special exhibitions, and other public education programs.
