Finding Your German Ancestor’s Place of Origin is a free, online event held via Zoom.

Not sure where your German ancestors came from? Join the NYG&B and special guest Dana Palmer as we learn how to determine your ancestor's place of origin using auswanderungen (emigration records) and other helpful materials, including German church records. Dana will discuss what information can be gleaned from auswanderungen and German church records, how to access these records, and other helpful hints for finding your German ancestor's place of origin.
