A Conversation with NYG&B Scholar in Residence Michael Waas

Join D. Joshua Taylor, NYG&B President and CEO, and Michael Waas for a conversation about the NYG&B’s Scholar in Residence program and Mr. Waas’ ongoing research project on documenting Jewish families in the NYG&B’s materials.

New from the NYG&B Online Collections: the Mathewson Papers and Town of Candor

12 p.m. to 1 p.m. ET | Online via Zoom

Please join Kalyn Loewer, NYG&B's Digital Collections Manager and Anna Gardner, NYG&B's Digitize New York Coordinator, for a look at the new Mathewson Papers and Town of Candor collections. Kalyn and Anna will discuss the local partnerships with the Pulaski Historical Society and Candor Historical Society that were integral to this preservation effort, share how the materials were digitized, and then go in-depth on how to locate and search these new digital collections.

NYG&B Preservation Day

2 p.m. to 5 p.m. | In Person

If you reside in or are visiting the New York City area, you are invited to come in person to our New York City Digitization Center for a 30-minute session to digitally preserve your own family history records. Participants will receive a free external drive that contains their own archivable, high-resolution digital files to take home.
