Medical Certificate?
Hello Ms. Gomoll,
I greatly enjoyed the detail in your presentation.
In 1922, my non-citizen Grandmother returned back to the US from Ireland.
(She originally came to the US in 1907.)
On the manifest, in spite of having
Condition of health, mental and physical marked "Good"
There was a notation of:
"Cert 3214 Senility, vericose veins of rt leg"
It does not seem that she was detained.
Can we tell what happened to her?
Does that certificate or records about it still exist?

First class passengers
My great-grandparents came in 1906, went back to Scotland a year or two later, before returning in 1912. I believe they traveled First class. Would they have gone trough Ellis Island when they arrived in NYC?
