This is the best session I've seen on this topic! I came in expecting a lot of the old "check the online catalog" but it was really quite interesting and more importantly, excited me to get going on a research trip! Thank you!

Thank you for this! I appreciated the practical advice too, like taking a photo of the file envelopes. I have often made the mistake of not getting the details on a record and realizing it much later at home.
Great Advice
I loved this session! Especially reminders about how important preparation is for on-site research. And reminder to allow extra time - I find on-site research always takes longer than I thought it would, no matter how prepared I am. And I almost always think of something else I wish I had checked while I was there. But it is all worth it when you find something which isn't (yet?) available on-line.
