This webinar will take a look at the resources available in Central New York including the Syracuse area.

Did your family settle or move through this area of New York State?

Are you are interested in learning more about where to find information and documentation for those people?

This presentation will provide an overview of where you might look, what archives, repositories, resources are available to you--in brick and mortar settings or available remotely.

The live broadcast of this webinar is free and open to the public. A recording will be available on-demand for NYG&B members after the broadcast.

Holly Sammons, MLS, has worked as a genealogy librarian at the Onondaga Public Library for over ten years, the last eight as head of that collection. Holly has spent her career there helping many genealogists with their research. She spearheaded several major projects at the library and worked vigorously to make this rich genealogy collection more accessible to the public.

Holly has lectured on genealogy locally and at several library and genealogy conferences. She's an avid genealogist and just completed the Boston University Genealogical Research Certificate Program. Holly is a member of several genealogical organizations and the current vice president of the Central New York Genealogical Society.
