Title: PLASS/BLASS-MEGLEY
Description: PLASS/BLASS-MEGLEY. Peter Plass (Blass) was a loyalist who left New York for Canada. He said he leased land near Albany and hid in the woods in 1777 due to loyalist sympathies. Did he leave a family behind in New York? Four Plass siblings were married in Columbia County, three to children of Joannes Megley: Elizabeth Plass to Jacob Megley, about 1787; Catharine Plass to Christian Megley in 1792; Anna Plass to Adam Cole in 1793; and Peter Plass Jr. to Anna Megley in 1797. Catherine’s marriage record says she was a daughter of Peter Plass. Richard H. Benson, 6557 Ridgewood Dr, Naples, FL, 34108, RBensonFL@aol.com.
