Title: Petrus Huber?
Description: My Great Grandfather Joseph J. Hoover was born in Williamsburg(h) section of Brooklyn on Sep. 13, 1846. His brother, Frederick Xavier, on May 21, 1845. Their parents were Peter Huber/Hoover and Maria/Mary Helic/Halic/Heller. Afa I know they were Catholics. I have written to the church which I thought they might belong to, but they will not answer me after repeated attempts. The Diocese says you have to know a street address. I have not found them in the directories online. They moved from Williamsburg(h) to Pittsburgh by 1855. I do not know where or whom to go to in NY to continue searching. Can anyone give me any suggestions?
