Family history has his biirth 1715 in Scotland. Lived most of life along the Mohawk Riiver and Caughnawaga/Fonda, NY, Tryon County. Married Sarah/Zara Bath 30 JAN 1739 in Albany. First child, James, born 1741 in Tryon County. Served in New York State Militia Associated Exempts under Captain Jellis Fonda and paid for six service entries in May 1785.
