The New York Genealogical and Biographical Society, the Milstein Division of the New York Public Library, and the National Archives in New York City were the founding organizations. These three entities began working together by combining the genealogical programs of the three institutions in one integrated calendar. Other genealogical organizations are coming on board as partners.

The New York Genealogical and Biographical Society

The NYG&B operates from a headquarters office in midtown Manhattan. Some of its programs are held in the offices, others are held elsewhere. Please check the program listing for location. View information about contacting the NYG&B.

The New York Public Library

The NYPL has a central research library in the Stephan A. Schwarzman Building on Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street in midtown Manhattan, with other research libraries and branch libraries located elsewhere. The Milstein Division of United States History, Local History and Genealogy is located within this central research library.

The National Archives at New York City

The National Archives serves researchers in their Manhattan offices, where they also conduct public programs.
