Seen Elsewhere: New York-Related Articles in Issues of Some Non-New York Genealogical Journals (Part 1)

(4297 reads)   Printer Friendly Page Printer Friendly Page

Originally published in The NYG&B Newsletter, 1990-2003

"Seen Elsewhere" has been a regular feature of the Newsletter since it was first published in 1990, pointing out articles related to New York genealogy published by genealogical journals with a focus other than New York.

In addition to "Seen Elsewhere," a series of four articles listing New York subjects was published by the Newsletter. The first article covered The American Genealogist, the second covered The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, and the third covered the National Genealogical Society Quarterly. The fourth article, "New York Families and Sources in Some Genealogical Journals," covered The Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey, Connecticut Ancestry, Genealogical Journal, The Genealogist, The Huguenot Historian, and the Somerset County Genealogical Quarterly through 1988. The information below, originally published in "Seen Elsewhere," continues where the fourth article left off and also includes many additional publications.
